- Begin by blending the blueberries until smooth. Pulse for a chunkier texture if preferred.
- In a small saucepan, gently heat your milk over low-medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- In a small bowl, combine matcha powder with a few tablespoons of hot water. Use a frother or whisk to mix until smooth.
Assembly
- Layer the blueberry puree at the bottom of your serving glass or mug.
- Pour the frothed matcha over the blueberry layer, followed by the warm milk.
- Add honey or maple syrup to taste, and stir gently to combine.
- Optionally, top with fresh blueberries or a dusting of matcha powder before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; however, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Re-froth the matcha before serving if made in advance. Consider trying variations by adding spices like cinnamon or cardamom.
