Preparation
- Brew a cup of espresso or strong coffee. If using ground coffee, consider using a French press or pour-over for the best flavor.
- In a large measuring cup, combine the brewed coffee, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved completely.
- Allow the mixture to cool in the fridge for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- For a frothy texture, pour the mixture into a blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds.
Assembly
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
- Dust some cocoa powder on top and add chocolate shavings if desired.
- Stir well before enjoying.
Notes
This iced latte is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the coffee base in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Freeze leftovers in an ice cube tray for future iced coffees.
