  • 1 cup milk of choice (whole, almond, or oat milk work well) Feel free to use any milk you have on hand.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds sweetness and flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For dusting the final drink.
  • Ice cubes For serving.
  • Optional: whipped cream for topping
  • Optional: chocolate shavings for garnishing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew a cup of espresso or strong coffee. If using ground coffee, consider using a French press or pour-over for the best flavor.
  2. In a large measuring cup, combine the brewed coffee, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved completely.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool in the fridge for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. For a frothy texture, pour the mixture into a blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds.
Assembly
  1. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  2. Dust some cocoa powder on top and add chocolate shavings if desired.
  3. Stir well before enjoying.

Notes

This iced latte is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the coffee base in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Freeze leftovers in an ice cube tray for future iced coffees.
