Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating.
- Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with barbecue sauce until well coated.
- Spread the barbecue chicken mixture evenly over the flatbreads, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, followed by sliced red onions.
Cooking
- Bake in the oven for about 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch for golden edges.
- If you want browned, bubbly pockets on top, switch to broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro, if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For crisper edges, use a pizza stone or perforated baking sheet. You can assemble flatbreads ahead of time and bake later.
