Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole fresh pineapple Peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
  • ½ cup brown sugar Use packed brown sugar for best results
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter Can be substituted with a plant-based alternative for a vegan version
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Enhances the caramelized flavor
  • optional scoop vanilla ice cream For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Peel, core, and slice the pineapple into thick rings, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Brush the pineapple rings with the brown sugar mixture, coating both sides.
Grilling
  1. Place the pineapple on the grill and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, until caramelized and grill marks appear.
  2. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking; you want them to be nice and golden.
Serving
