Ingredients

For the filling
  • 4 cups tater tots Use frozen for easy prep.
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.

  • ½ cup sour cream Can substitute with plain Greek yogurt for tang.
  • ½ cup nacho cheese sauce Check for gluten-free options if necessary.
  • 4 large flour tortillas May use gluten-free tortillas as an option.
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) as per tater tot package instructions.
  2. Spread tater tots on a baking tray and cook for about 18-25 minutes until crispy. Alternatively, use an air fryer for 12-15 minutes.
  3. While the tots are cooking, in a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper until no pink remains.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked tater tots, browned beef, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and nacho cheese sauce, folding gently to combine.
Assembly
  1. Lay out tortillas and scoop the filling down the center. Leave space at the ends to roll.
  2. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly, placing the seam side down on a lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. For extra crispiness, bake the wraps seam-side down at 375°F for 8-12 minutes until golden.
  2. Alternatively, crisp them in a skillet for 2-3 minutes per side.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or pico de gallo.

Notes

Mix crispy tots gently to maintain their structure. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
