  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Any cheese can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower head and slice it into thick steaks, about an inch each.
  3. Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Arrange the seasoned cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
Baking
  1. Bake the cauliflower steaks in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  2. Carefully flip the steaks over and sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each steak.
  3. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve the Cheesy Cauliflower Steaks warm, enjoying them on their own or with a fresh salad.

Notes

For a different texture, consider roasting your cauliflower steaks instead of baking. You can also try using different cheeses, like mozzarella or pepper jack, for a varied flavor.
