Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 box (12.5 oz) Ritz Bits Crackers, Original
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted 1 stick
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • ½ tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • ¼ tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ cup Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ tsp Smoked Paprika (optional)
  • Pinch Cayenne Pepper (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a small saucepan or microwave. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, sea salt, black pepper, and optional smoked paprika & cayenne pepper until well combined.
  3. Add the finely grated Parmesan and sharp cheddar cheeses to the seasoned butter mixture; stir well until the cheeses are evenly incorporated.
  4. Pour the seasoned cheesy butter mixture over Ritz Bits in a very large bowl. Gently toss until all crackers are evenly coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the coated Ritz Bits in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 300°F (150°C), stirring gently halfway through.
  2. If they are still soft, bake another 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Serving
  1. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet. Gently break apart any stuck clusters and transfer to a serving bowl.
Storage
  1. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-5 days. For longer shelf life, consider freezing them.
  2. To regain their crunch, reheat in a warm oven when ready to enjoy.

Notes

Cheesy Garlic Ritz Bits Snacks can be served by themselves, or as part of a larger appetizer platter. For a fun twist, sprinkle herbs on top right before serving or add crushed red pepper flakes for heat. Great with soups.
