Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 packet taco seasoning You can create your own if necessary
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend) Feel free to add extra cheese for a cheesier experience!
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough Make sure to handle the dough gently
Dipping and Toppings
  • taco sauce For dipping
  • sour cream Optional topping
  • guacamole Optional topping
  • diced tomatoes Optional topping
  • jalapeños Optional topping for an extra kick

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water as instructed on the seasoning packet.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture and a bit of cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end, and place on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm with taco sauce and optional toppings.

Notes

These Cheesy Taco Sticks are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. You can freeze uncooked sticks for up to a month and bake them directly from the freezer.
