  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Searing
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F (75°C).
Sauce Preparation
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up browned bits to create the sauce.
  2. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
Combining
  1. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it soak up the sauce for another minute before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 3 months. To prepare ahead, cook chicken and sauce separately and combine before serving.
