Preparation
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Searing
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F (75°C).
Sauce Preparation
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up browned bits to create the sauce.
- Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
Combining
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it soak up the sauce for another minute before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 3 months. To prepare ahead, cook chicken and sauce separately and combine before serving.
