Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and cocoa powder, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy!
Notes
For serving, warm slices with a pat of butter or drizzle of honey. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
