Ingredients

For the Bruschetta

  • 1 cup Nutella Warm slightly if chilled to make spreadable.
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese Softened to room temperature.
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Hulled and thinly sliced.
  • 1 cup Mixed berries Such as blueberries and raspberries; fresh preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar Optional; sifted to prevent lumps.
  • a few Fresh mint leaves Optional for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French baguette into 1/2-inch slices.
  2. Use a serrated knife for even slices; set thicker slices aside if uneven.
Toasting
  1. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Toast in the preheated oven for 5 to 7 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Watch closely to prevent over-browning.
Mixing Spread
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Nutella and softened cream cheese.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding powdered sugar if desired.
Assembly
  1. Spread the mixture generously on each toasted baguette slice.
  2. Top with sliced strawberries and mixed berries.
Garnishing
  1. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if using.
  2. Serve immediately to maintain crispness.

Notes

Store leftovers separately; toasted slices can be kept at room temperature for up to 24 hours. Fresh berries should be refrigerated and added before serving to avoid sogginess.
