  • 1 cup cottage cheese Use full-fat for the creamiest texture.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar gives the best flavor.
Breading and Seasonings
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs Panko gives a crispier exterior.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt Reduce if using seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small stick-shaped pieces, about 3–4 inches long.
  4. Arrange the cheese sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese sticks are golden-brown and crispy.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days. Re-crisp in the oven or air-fry for best results.
