  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted for the garlic butter mixture.

  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Remove any loose or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Rinse it under cold water and pat it dry.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick rounds, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick, keeping the core intact.
Prepare Garlic Butter
  1. Melt the butter over low heat in a small pan. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Mix in olive oil, salt, and black pepper, then remove from heat.
Season the Cabbage
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with optional seasonings.
Roast in the Oven
  1. Place the tray in the oven and roast for 25 to 35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. Cabbage is ready when the edges are golden brown and slightly crispy.
Final Touch
  1. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top while hot, add fresh parsley, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  2. Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
