Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8–10 oz Halloumi cheese Approximately 225–280 g, sliced thick.
  • 4–6 cups Mixed greens Arugula, baby spinach, or a spring mix work well.
  • 1–2 Cucumbers English or Persian cucumbers are great.
  • ½ Red onion Thinly sliced.
  • 1–2 Sweet bell peppers Mixed colors for visual appeal.
Dressing and Seasoning
  • 2–3 tablespoons Olive oil For frying and drizzling.
  • 1–2 tablespoons Lemon juice Freshly squeezed.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper Freshly cracked.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the halloumi cheese into thick slices, about 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Chop the mixed greens, cucumbers, red onion, and bell peppers.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped vegetables.
  4. Add a pinch of salt to cucumbers and onions, let sit for 5–10 minutes to draw out excess water, then drain.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the halloumi slices. Cook until golden and crispy on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  2. Once halloumi is ready, add it to the salad bowl.
Serving
  1. Drizzle the salad with olive oil and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Toss everything gently and serve immediately.

Notes

Halloumi can also be grilled for a smoky flavor or roasted in the oven. Store leftover components separately and reheat halloumi for best texture.
