Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Place the boneless chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Optionally, sear the breasts in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side to add flavor.
- In a separate bowl, mix the stuffing mix, chicken broth, melted butter, and seasonings.
- Pour the stuffing mixture over the chicken in the crockpot, gently pressing it to cover the chicken evenly.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). Let it sit on warm for 10-15 minutes if the stuffing is very wet.
Serving
- Serve warm, letting the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
Notes
For variations, add vegetables like carrots or peas in the last hour of cooking. To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free stuffing. Storage: Cool to room temperature, store in airtight containers for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
