Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients
  • 1 cup spinach Fresh and thoroughly washed
  • ½ cup cucumber Fresh and thoroughly washed
  • 1 whole lemon Juiced
  • 1 inch ginger Peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Optional for added fiber
  • 1 cup water or coconut water For blending

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the spinach and cucumber thoroughly.
  2. Peel and grate the ginger.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and have all your ingredients ready.
Blending
  1. Combine the spinach, cucumber, lemon juice, ginger, chia seeds, and water (or coconut water) in a blender.
  2. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, until smooth (about 30 seconds to a minute).
Adjusting and Serving
  1. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more lemon juice or sweetener if needed.
  2. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For additional sweetness, consider adding a ripe banana or a splash of honey. To make it thicker, add a handful of ice before blending. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze portioned ingredients for a quick blend.
