Preparation
- Peel the ripe bananas and cut them in half for easy handling, or leave them whole for an elegant presentation.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted. Alternatively, use a double boiler for gentler heating.
- Take each banana piece and immerse it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. A fork can help with the dipping.
- Transfer the chocolate-covered bananas onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle your favorite toppings over the bananas.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the bananas are completely frozen and the chocolate has set.
- Once frozen, remove the chocolate-covered bananas and enjoy your refreshing treat!
Notes
Store leftover chocolate-covered bananas in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving if desired.
