Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 pieces Ripe bananas Select ripe but firm bananas.
  • 1 cup Melted chocolate (dark, milk, or white) Use your favorite type of chocolate.
Optional Toppings
  • ½ cup Sprinkles Use colorful sprinkles for decoration.
  • ½ cup Chopped nuts Includes almonds, walnuts, or peanuts.
  • ½ cup Shredded coconut For added texture.
  • ½ cup Crushed cookies Use your favorite cookies for a crunchy topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel the ripe bananas and cut them in half for easy handling, or leave them whole for an elegant presentation.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted. Alternatively, use a double boiler for gentler heating.
  3. Take each banana piece and immerse it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. A fork can help with the dipping.
  4. Transfer the chocolate-covered bananas onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle your favorite toppings over the bananas.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the bananas are completely frozen and the chocolate has set.
  7. Once frozen, remove the chocolate-covered bananas and enjoy your refreshing treat!

Notes

Store leftover chocolate-covered bananas in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving if desired.
