  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use day-old or panko for added crunch.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Grate fresh for better flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For a brighter flavor, consider roasting cloves.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup marinara sauce Warm before serving for a smoother finish.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For coating chicken.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). If using convection, reduce to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in olive oil, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
Baking
  1. Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until cooked through at 160–165°F.
  2. Remove from the oven and top each piece with warmed marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  3. Return to the oven for another 5–7 minutes to melt the cheese.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider pan-searing the chicken before baking or using an air fryer. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
