Ingredients
  

For the Steak
  • 1 lb Flank steak Generously season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For seasoning the steak.

For the Caprese Salad
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes Halved.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella balls Use bocconcini or ciliegine.
  • 1 cup Fresh basil For garnish.
  • 3 tbsp Balsamic glaze For dressing the salad.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Generously season the flank steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Grilling the Steak
  1. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  2. Aim for a nice char while ensuring it reaches your desired level of doneness.
Preparing the Caprese Salad
  1. In a large bowl, mix the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil.
  2. Drizzle the mixture with balsamic glaze and toss gently to combine.
Serving
  1. Remove the grilled steak from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Slice the steak thinly against the grain and serve on a platter topped with the Caprese salad.

Notes

Store leftover steak in an airtight container for up to three days. The Caprese salad is best enjoyed fresh. For freezing, wrap the steak tightly and it can last for up to three months.
