Ingredients
  

For the Turkey Burgers
  • 1 lb ground turkey Lean turkey for healthier burgers.
  • ¼ cup fresh herbs (parsley, basil, or cilantro), finely chopped Choose your favorite herb or mix them.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for burger mix)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Cucumber Salad
  • 1 piece cucumber, thinly sliced Use a mandoline for even slices.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • Salt to taste
For Serving
  • Buns (optional) Serve on buns or lettuce leaves for a low-carb option.

Method
 

Prepare the Burger Mix
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped herbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently with your hands or a fork until just combined.
  3. Form into 4 even patties (about 4 oz each) and press a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Preheat Your Cooking Surface
  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Drizzle oil in the skillet if using.
Cook the Turkey Burgers
  1. Place turkey patties on the cooking surface, leaving space between each.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  3. Let cooked burgers rest for a few minutes before serving.
Make the Cucumber Salad
  1. Slice the cucumber thinly and toss lightly with salt and additional herbs.
  2. Let the salad rest for 10 minutes, then drain any excess liquid.
Make the Tzatziki
  1. In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt.
  2. For added texture, optionally grate half the cucumber and squeeze out excess water before combining.
Assemble and Serve
  1. Place turkey burgers on buns or plates, top with tzatziki and cucumber salad.
  2. Add optional toppings like sliced tomato or red onion.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Tzatziki separates, so stir before serving.
