Cooking Chicken
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Make sure the pan is hot before adding chicken so pieces brown nicely instead of steaming.
- Add cubed chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes, depending on the size of the cubes.
- In a bowl, mix honey, garlic, and soy sauce. Pour over cooked chicken and stir until well coated.
- Simmer on low for 2-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. For a thicker glaze, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook another minute.
- Serve over rice or with vegetables. Garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or lime.
Notes
If you like a thicker glaze, add a teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water to the sauce. For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
