- In a saucepan, combine the brewed coffee, sugar, and water over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
- Once dissolved, sprinkle the agar-agar powder into the mixture while stirring constantly until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into a mold and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours until it has a firm, jelly-like consistency.
- Carefully unmold the jelly onto a plate and cut into cubes or slices. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Japanese Coffee Jelly can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. It can be frozen but may change texture upon thawing. Consider garnishing with coffee beans or chocolate shavings for an elegant touch.
