Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Cut in half
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Melon (cantaloupe or honeydew) Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Grapes (red or green) Leave whole
  • 2 medium Banana slices Cut into slices
Equipment
  • 1 set Skewers (wooden or reusable)
  • 1 per item A sharp knife
  • 1 per item A cutting board
  • 1 per item Mixing bowl
  • 1 per item Grill or oven For BBQ, if desired
Optional Dip
  • 1 cup Yogurt Plain, mixed with honey and cinnamon
  • 1 cup Chocolate Dark or white, melted for dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash all fresh produce.
  2. Cut strawberries in half, slice the bananas, and prepare your melon and pineapple into bite-sized pieces.
Assembly
  1. Take your skewers and start adding fruits in a fun pattern, such as strawberry, banana, grape, and a chunk of pineapple.
  2. Engage your kids in this process to make it more enjoyable.
Grilling or Serving
  1. For BBQ kabobs, preheat the grill and lightly brush with honey.
  2. Grill over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the fruits caramelize slightly. Alternatively, serve fresh.
Dips and Presentation
  1. Prepare a yogurt dip by mixing plain yogurt with honey and cinnamon, or melt chocolate for dipping.
  2. Arrange kabobs on a colorful platter and add toppings such as shredded coconut or chocolate drizzle.

Notes

These kabobs are best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container for about 2 days. For longer storage, freeze fruits after removing from skewers.
