Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice Opt for fresh lemons for the best taste.
  • 1 cup sugar This balances the tartness of the lemons.
  • 2 cups water It helps create that perfect sorbet texture.
  • 1 zest of 1 lemon Adds an extra zing to the flavor.
  • 1 pinch of salt Elevates the overall taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  3. Once cooled, add the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
  5. Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice that forms, repeating this for about 2-3 hours until the sorbet reaches a fluffy texture.
  6. Once ready, serve in bowls or cups and enjoy your refreshing treat!

Notes

Use fresh lemons for the best flavor. Stirring during freezing is crucial for a light, fluffy texture. Let sit at room temperature if it’s too icy before scooping.
