Ingredients

Fruits
  • 2 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups) Choose juicy, ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Other Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional) For added brightness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel and dice the mangoes into small pieces. Hull and slice the strawberries.
Blending
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, sliced strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. If you prefer a bit more texture, pulse the mixture a few times.
Taste and Adjust
  1. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar or lime juice as necessary.
  2. Blend again if you add any ingredients.
Freezing
  1. Pour the fruit mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish and cover it tightly with a lid or plastic wrap.
  2. Place it in the freezer for 4-6 hours or until solid, stirring every couple of hours to break up ice crystals.
Serving
  1. Once fully frozen, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before serving.
  2. Serve in bowls or as a refreshing scoop.

Notes

Store leftover sorbet in an airtight container to prevent ice crystal formation. Can last in the freezer for up to three weeks.
