Method
Preparation
- Peel and dice the mangoes into small pieces. Hull and slice the strawberries.
Blending
- In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, sliced strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.
- If you prefer a bit more texture, pulse the mixture a few times.
Taste and Adjust
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar or lime juice as necessary.
- Blend again if you add any ingredients.
Freezing
- Pour the fruit mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish and cover it tightly with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Place it in the freezer for 4-6 hours or until solid, stirring every couple of hours to break up ice crystals.
Serving
- Once fully frozen, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before serving.
- Serve in bowls or as a refreshing scoop.
Notes
Store leftover sorbet in an airtight container to prevent ice crystal formation. Can last in the freezer for up to three weeks.
