  • 1 cup chicken broth Can substitute with vegetable broth

  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne) Choose your favorite type

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, approximately 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add Italian seasoning and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely and the sauce is smooth.
  6. In a separate pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well coated.
  8. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

For added flavor, you might want to include sautéed mushrooms or spinach. To make a thicker sauce, simmer longer before adding pasta.
