- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, approximately 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add Italian seasoning and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely and the sauce is smooth.
- In a separate pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well coated.
- Serve the pasta garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For added flavor, you might want to include sautéed mushrooms or spinach. To make a thicker sauce, simmer longer before adding pasta.
