Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
- Stir in the pure mint extract and add green food coloring if desired.
Churning
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions (about 20-30 minutes).
- If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze, stirring vigorously every 30 minutes until desired consistency is achieved.
Adding Chocolate Chips
- During the last few minutes of churning, add the mini chocolate chips.
Freezing
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, smoothing the top, and press plastic wrap onto the surface before sealing.
- Freeze completely for about 4 hours.
Notes
Keep the ice cream in an airtight container for up to 2-3 weeks. Consider portioning into smaller containers for easier access without exposing the entire batch.
