Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare two ungreased baking sheets.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until everything is well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the bowl and mix until a dough forms. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Using a tablespoon, form dough balls and place them on the baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart.
Baking
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, one sheet at a time for even cooking. If baking two sheets, switch them halfway through.
- Let the cookies cool on a wire rack after baking.
Notes
For a more developed flavor, refrigerate dough for up to 48 hours prior to baking. For varied textures, consider mixing types of chocolate or adding chopped peanuts.
