Ingredients

For the filling
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough Use store-bought for convenience.
  • ½ cup chopped pecans Roasting before chopping enhances flavor.
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup Can be substituted with honey or maple syrup.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional) Adds extra warmth to the flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Carefully unroll the crescent dough on a flat surface and separate it into triangles.
Assembly
  1. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  2. Starting from the wide end, roll the dough tightly towards the tip of the triangle. Arrange the filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between each piece.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 10–12 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown.
  2. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For freshness, store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Freeze for longer storage. You can assemble the crescents a day in advance and store them unbaked in the fridge.
