  • 1 pound salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

For the Creamy Avocado Sauce
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped

Method
 

Preparation of Salmon Mixture
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Forming the Salmon Balls
  1. Use your hands to form small balls, about the size of a golf ball. Adjust the size according to your preference.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place salmon balls in the pan and fry until golden brown on all sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes.
Preparing the Creamy Avocado Sauce
  1. In a food processor, blend the avocado, sour cream, lime juice, and cilantro until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Serving
  1. Serve the salmon balls warm with the creamy avocado sauce on the side.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. They can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
