- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat for about 30 seconds until it shimmers.
- Add the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened (about 4–6 minutes).
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned (about 6–8 minutes), breaking it into crumbles.
- Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes (with their juices), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
