Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
- In another bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, milk, and olive oil until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and stir until just combined.
- If using, fold in the cooked turkey sausage or bacon and chopped green onions.
- Drop generous spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack before enjoying.
