Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices bread Choose your favorite type—sourdough, whole grain, or whatever you love!
  • 2 eggs eggs Fresh eggs work best for that perfect yolk.
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese Creamy and rich, this is the star of the dish.
  • Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • Olive oil Adds flavor and helps toast the bread perfectly.
  • Fresh herbs Optional, for garnish. Basil, parsley, or chives add a lovely touch!

Method

Preparation
  1. Toast the bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden and crispy.
  2. While the bread is toasting, heat a small amount of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Crack in the eggs, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your desired doneness.
  3. In a small bowl, add the ricotta cheese and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  4. Spread the ricotta evenly on the toasted bread slices. Place the cooked eggs on top.
  5. If using, sprinkle fresh herbs over the top for added flavor and color. Serve immediately.

Notes

Tips for Best Results: Don’t overcook the eggs for a creamy texture. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor. Customize toppings as desired.
