Method
 

Preparation

Baking

  2. Add your eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then turn them out onto cooling racks to cool completely.
