- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
- In your serving dish, layer sponge cake or ladyfingers at the bottom.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the layer of cake.
- Place a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the cream, adding sugar if needed.
- Repeat layering with the remaining ingredients until finished.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to meld flavors.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. Individual components can be frozen separately, but the complete dessert may not freeze well. Serve with vanilla ice cream or chocolate shavings for variation.
