Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into strips.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
Assembly
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over each strip of pastry.
- Twist each strip several times and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the twists with the beaten egg.
Baking
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly and serve.
Notes
For glazing, mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla. For nutty variations, press finely chopped toasted nuts onto strips.
